However, HIAL believes that we humans have been blessed with a great capacity to think, explore,
innovate and be resilient. Today, more than ever before, there is a growing need for responsible entrepreneurs who value environmental and social impact of the businesses they engage in and look and think for more innovative ways to give back to the society. This Start-up pitching festival is to encourage and handhold budding entrepreneurs who will pioneer the responsible growth and development of the Himalayan Region as torchbearers.
Overview
SWITCH (Swavalamban Innovation and Technology Centre for Himalayas) is an incubation center at HIAL powered by SIDBI.
“SWITCH your Entrepreneurial DNA” is a Start-Up mentoring and pitching fest organized for entrepreneurs from the Himalayan region. It is a first of its kind 4 days festival where entrepreneurs would not only be given an opportunity to showcase their unique business idea to an eminent jury, but the shortlisted entries shall be mentored by domain experts for 3 days so as to enable them to pitch their ideas with maximum impact.
Objective
The purpose of this one of its kind programme being organised in Ladakh is to support, mentor and encourage responsible entrepreneurship for the upliftment of society and environment in the mountainous region.
Eligibility
One should be a budding Entrepreneur from Himalayan/Mountain region and his / her venture should be in the incubation stage. The Preference would be given to ideas contributing to following
- Positive impact on environment
- Evolution of human consciousness
- Empowering rural lives
- Wellness
- Innovation
Programme Structure
The participants would be given in-depth knowledge and mentoring in the following areas by the
respective domain experts for the first 3 days to refine and perfect their idea and pitch:
- Business Governance
- Inclusive Leadership for team building
- Market Intelligence
- Business Canvas Modelling & Financial Plan
- Marketing & Branding
- Pitch Deck Preparation + Presentation & Networking skills
On the 4th day, shortlisted participants shall pitch their idea to a jury. On final selection the participant
shall be given incubation and investment support at SWITCH.
Limited to 15 seats only.
Note :-
For participants outside Ladakh, arrive on 25th October to allow a day for acclimatisation.
Fee Structure :-
Ladakhi participants: INR 5000
Fee for Non Ladakhi participants: INR 20,000 (includes accommodation for 5 nights and all meals)
